Last Updated: August 26, 2026
Ozmotic Learning (Ozmoe LLC) (“Ozmotic Learning,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website ozmoticlearning.com, the associated online store, the Ozmotic Learning mobile application, the Ozmotic Learning ceiling projector and related hardware and software, and all connected features, tools, content, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit or use the Services, set up or use the projector and app, make a purchase or other transaction, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with Ozmotic Learning. It applies to all users of the Services.
By accessing or using any part of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
If there is any conflict between this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of personal information.
1. Personal Information We Collect
We and our service providers may collect various categories of personal information depending on how you interact with the Services. “Personal information” means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual.
We may collect the following categories of personal information (including inferences drawn from such information):
Information You Provide Directly
-
Contact details (name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses)
-
Account information (username, preferences, security questions)
-
Payment and transaction information (payment card details processed by our payment processors, order history, returns, and exchanges)
-
Communications you send to us (such as customer support inquiries or feedback)
Information Collected Automatically
-
Device and technical information (IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and network information)
-
Usage and interaction data (pages viewed, features used, navigation patterns, and time spent on the Services)
-
Location information (if you enable location features)
We and our service providers may also use cookies, pixels, session recording tools, heatmaps, analytics platforms, video delivery and logging services, performance monitoring tools, and similar technologies to collect information about your activity on the website and app. These technologies help us operate the Services, analyze usage, troubleshoot issues, remember preferences, prevent fraud, and deliver relevant content and advertising. Session recording and heatmap tools are limited to parent-facing website and account interfaces and are not active during child content playback or projector use sessions.
Information Collected Through the Ozmotic Learning Projector and App
When you set up and use the projector and mobile app through a parent or guardian account, we and our service providers may collect:
-
Parent/guardian account information (name and email address)
-
Usage and technical data related to the projector and app, which may include content selections and playback information (such as lessons or categories viewed and duration), device status, connection information, performance data, and error logs
This information is associated with the parent or guardian account and is used to deliver educational content, improve lesson quality and app performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance the service. We do not collect video recordings, audio recordings, images, or information that directly identifies a child. The projector does not collect biometric data.
2. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are designed for use by parents and guardians with their children. We are committed to protecting children’s privacy and comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and other applicable laws.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent.
When a parent or guardian uses the projector and app with a child, we and our service providers may collect limited usage and technical data associated with the child’s activity through the parent’s account. This data is used solely for internal operational purposes to deliver and improve the Services, including enhancing educational content and resolving technical issues.
We obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting the limited usage data described above in connection with a child’s use of the Services. We use methods that comply with COPPA’s requirements for verifiable parental consent. This includes requiring a parent or guardian to create and verify an account and provide affirmative consent via the consent process before the projector or app can be used with a child. Where a purchase of the Ozmotic Learning projector or related Services is involved, the payment transaction (using a credit card, debit card, or other online payment system that provides notification of the discrete transaction to the primary account holder) further supports verifiable parental consent. By completing the required steps and affirming consent, the parent or guardian consents to the collection and use of the associated usage data as described in this Privacy Policy and the Parent Notice provided prior to collection.
We do not use children’s usage data for marketing or advertising purposes, for profiling children, or for any purpose other than providing and improving the Services. We do not sell children’s usage data, and we do not share or disclose children’s usage data with third parties for their own marketing, advertising, or profiling purposes.
Children’s usage data is disclosed only to service providers that assist us in operating the Services, under written contracts that limit their use of the data to those purposes, require appropriate security protections, and require assistance with deletion upon request.
Parents and guardians may review, delete, or request that we stop collecting their child’s usage data at any time through the Ozmotic Learning app or by contacting us at discover@ozmoticlearning.com. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it promptly.

4. How We Disclose Personal Information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
-
To service providers and vendors that perform services on our behalf (such as payment processing, shipping and fulfillment, hosting, analytics, performance monitoring, session recording, video delivery and logging, customer support, email/SMS delivery, and data analytics). These providers are contractually required to protect the information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
-
To business and marketing partners for advertising and promotional purposes, where permitted by law. We do not disclose children’s usage data to any business or marketing partners. Any such disclosures are limited to information related to parents, guardians, and adult users.
-
In connection with a business transaction (merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets)
-
To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights and the rights of others
-
With your consent or at your direction
Under certain state laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA), disclosures of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered “sharing.” You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information as described in Section 8. We do not sell or share children’s usage data.
5. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Advertising
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, session recording and heatmap tools, analytics platforms, video delivery and logging services, performance monitoring tools, and similar technologies on the website and app. These help us operate the Services, analyze usage and performance, troubleshoot issues, remember preferences, prevent fraud, and deliver relevant content and advertising (including personalized advertising).
Session recording, heatmaps, and similar tools are limited to parent-facing website pages and Ozmotic Learning app interfaces. They are not used during child content playback or while the projector is in use with a child.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Where required or supported, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals and other recognized opt-out preference signals. If we are able to associate the device sending a GPC signal with a Shopify customer account, we will also apply the opt-out to that account. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These include encryption where appropriate, access controls, and oversight of key service providers. We maintain a written information security program consistent with applicable requirements, including those under COPPA. No security measures are completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purposes for which it is used.
For children’s usage data associated with a parent account, we retain the information while the account remains active and for a limited period thereafter as needed for service improvement, troubleshooting, and legal compliance. Upon a parent’s request to delete or stop collection, we will delete or de-identify the relevant usage data promptly, subject to any legal retention requirements. Account information is retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter.
We may retain limited transaction records (such as order date, items purchased, and amount) after a deletion request when required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. Identifiable contact details are removed or de-identified where legally permitted.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law (including the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA and similar state laws), you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the rights to:
-
Access the personal information we hold about you
-
Correct inaccurate personal information
-
Delete your personal information
-
Port your information to another service
-
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
-
Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (if applicable)
Parents and guardians may exercise rights related to their child’s usage data through the Ozmotic Learning app or by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at discover@ozmoticlearning.com. You may also email us with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 45 days for California residents, subject to extension).
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require proof that the agent is authorized to act for you, and we may also need to verify your identity directly.
Deletion requests are subject to the limited transaction-record retention described in Section 7. Some information held by service providers may be deleted according to that provider’s tools and retention schedule. We will take reasonable steps to pass your request to those providers.
You may opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe instructions in those emails.
If you have a complaint about how we process your personal information, contact us at discover@ozmoticlearning.com. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision by contacting us again, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. International Data Transfers
Your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. When we transfer personal information internationally, we use appropriate safeguards to protect it in accordance with this Privacy Policy, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other mechanisms recognized under applicable law.
10. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services not controlled by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Relationship with Shopify
The store and website are hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the store in order to provide and improve those services. Information you submit through the store may be transmitted to Shopify and its service providers, which may be located in countries other than where you reside.
We may also use certain Shopify features that help operate, protect, or grow the store. In some cases, Shopify may use personal information about your interactions with our store, along with other merchants and with Shopify, for those features. For that Shopify-controlled processing, Shopify is responsible for responding to requests about how it uses that information. You can learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and submit requests through Shopify’s privacy portal: https://privacy.shopify.com/en
We do not use children’s projector or app usage data in Shopify advertising or cross-merchant advertising features. Those features, if used, are limited to information related to parents, guardians, and adult store users.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and, where required by law, provide additional notice (such as by email or a prominent notice on the Services). Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
